a-trak, kid sister and gaslamp killer at venue 222 tomorrow
Fresh from huge appearances at Coachella and SXSW music festivals, dj/producer and Fool’s Gold co-owner A-trak returns to Austin for his Magic 8-Ball tour. He may have headlined big tours before, but this one feels different. Maybe partnerships with Scion and Serato have something to do with his increased profile and his new swanky set design which I have heard is pretty impressive. Kid Sister is playing a supporting role, but make no mistake, she has Minaj star potential. I’m talking songwriting, singing and rapping all with a quirky-cute retro sensibility. Her tracks are way bass-heavy and always club ready. Gaslamp Killer opens. Also this is at Venue 222 which seems to be the old Aces lounge. More info/tickets here and on Do512 here.
